Scrutineers
All scrutineers must have a copy of the scrutineer appointment form with original signatures. One scrutineer or the candidate is allowed per ballot issuer as per the following list:
During the Advance Vote, January 6 and 8, 2011
One per candidate maximum at Vellore Village Community Centre
On voting day, Monday, January 10, 2011
- Father Bressani – 4 per candidate (maximum)
- Vellore Village Community Centre – 3 per candidate (maximum)
- St. Gregory the Great – 2 per candidate (maximum)
- St. Mary of the Angels – 2 per candidate (maximum)

Election Campaign Signs
Signs may not be erected prior to the close of nominations November 26, 2010 on local roads. Regional Road signs may not be posted until 12:01 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010. Signs on Steeles Avenue (north and south sides) are the jurisdiction of the City of Toronto . Contact the City of Toronto for deposit fee information.
Filing Tips
- You will meet with the City Clerk or Deputy City Clerk for 20-30 minutes to review information and sign the required forms.
- Call the City Clerk's Office, 905-832-8504, to set up an appointment with the City Clerk or Deputy Clerk to file your nomination paper. Appointments must be made in advance.
- You become a candidate by filing a nomination paper in the City Clerk's Department, in person or by an agent. Transmissions by fax and e-mail, or mailed in nomination forms ARE NOT accepted.

If you choose to print forms from the links provided on the City's election website,
please make sure to print the following on legal size paper:
- The Nomination Paper; and
- Declaration of Qualifications.
- You must bring the following with you when you meet with the City Clerk or Deputy
City Clerk:
- the prescribed filing fee of $100.00 which must be paid by cash, certified cheque or money order payable to the City of Vaughan;
- $5.00 fee for linking to your website (if any) from the City's election website;
- photo-identification (such as a Driver's Licence), as you will be required to make a declaration of qualification before a Commissioner of Oaths in the Clerk's Office when filing your nomination paper.
